SKILLS WE'RE LOOKING FOR...

  • Professional experience crafting amazing web and mobile experiences using Ruby on Rails or React. If you're an expert in something similar, we'd also like to talk to you.
  • Ability to communicate highly technical concepts to non-technical people
  • Agile software development lifecycle
  • Object-oriented and/or functional software development patterns
  • Relational databases, such as PostgreSQL or MySQL
  • GraphQL
  • Git version control
  • Ability to Implement design into HTML and SCSS
  • Test-Driven Development and Pair Programming
  • A love for mentorship

NICE TO HAVE (not needed, but nice)...

  • Elixir/Phoenix experience
  • Dev-Ops and experience with any cloud platform
  • UI/UX design ability

Our work style is very collaborative. We recognize that doesn't work for everyone. If you know you are not comfortable with frequent pairing and more communication over less, we might not be the best fit, and that's okay. We're always looking for ways to enhance our remote team experience.

INTERVIEW PROCESS

We don't hire fast, but we strive to move through the process quickly. We do not try to catch you off-guard or trick you into making a mistake. We want to support you to be your best self. Our team is made up of introverts and extroverts alike. Every person came through the same process with all their capabilities and challenges. Therefore, the steps we take are meant to uncover who you are amidst the natural anxiety of the interviewing process.

  1.  Initial conversation with a director-level person
  2.  Take-home assignment
  3.  Two pairing interviews with future fellow team members
  4.  Offer of employment
