We're looking for an experienced Ruby on Rails Developer to join our team of developers! As a Ruby on Rails Developer, we are expecting you to have strong, proven working experience with Ruby. With us, you will be using the most advanced technologies, collaborate with fellow knowledgeable developers and advance your career
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Development of web applications from napkin scratch to production-ready
- Maintenance and improvement of legacy web applications
- Writing server-side web application logic in Ruby
- Create efficient, concise back-end components
- Experience with integrating with other web services internally and externally
- Extending and maintaining JSON-based APIs
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- Minimum 2 years of professional experience as a Ruby on Rails Developer in a start-up environment
- BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent hands-on industry experience
- Experience with Ruby and the Rails framework
- Experience with full web stack including HTTP, CSS, REST
- Experience with Git and Github
- Experience with ReactJS
- Knowledge of Docker and docker-based deployment
- Working knowledge and experience with AWS is preferred
- Experience with SQL backends, preferably Postgres or mySQL
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools like CodeClimate and CircleCI
- Autonomous, critical thinker with razor sharp problem-solving skills
- Team player that leaves their ego at the door
- Exceptional time-management skills and a proven track record of being able to work remotely with few issues
