What is Clubs Poker?

We recently closed a round of funding led by
Village Global, along with other angel investors and professional poker players.
What’s our traction?
Clubs Poker is in beta and players are already hosting around 1,000 poker games/month, at an astonishing growth rate of almost 100% month over month.

Who are you?
You’re an experienced engineer with *at least* 3 years under your belt, and you've built real-world products from scratch. You're looking for a chance to dive in to a brand new product, lay the architectural foundations for our future, and help our CEO build out the founding team.
- Our stack is Ruby on Rails, React, HTML5 Canvas, Postgres, AWS. You should have meaningful Rails experience, or meaningful React/Front-end experience, ideally both. Regardless, you will be expected to work across the stack
- You are looking for technical challenges beyond a typical CRUD application. Concurrency problems, network/latency issues, and other real-time game dynamics are either familiar territory for you or you're ready to dive into it head first
- You're comfortable implementing and shipping large-scale features E2E, from mockups through data model
- You like poker! This does not mean you need to be a good player by any stretch, but you must know how to play poker and you enjoy it. Bonus points if you’re a gamer

Taylor 👋. I was a poker player for 4 years, a Product Manager for 10 years, and now the founder & CEO of
Clubs Poker. I’m also based in NYC (but you don’t have to be). I am building Clubs to accomplish three objectives: 1) Create a bright future for the game of poker, 2) show up every day humbled by the people I get to work with, and 3) make the best damn poker app that players love.
