Principal Software Engineer

Impruvon Health is on a mission to improve quality of care in long term settings. We support vulnerable and underserved populations such as individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (Autism, etc.), veterans, seniors, and more. Our software and hardware suite guides care teams through the complex medication management processes while giving administrators the visibility they need to maintain the highest quality care. A recent customer saw a 50% reduction in medication errors within 90 days of using our platform. We’re backed by silicon valley investors and growing very fast.

We’re seeking an experienced engineer to join our world-class team as we grow to meet customer demand. You should be excited to work on a fast-paced agile team and play a pivotal role in shaping how we deliver exceptional customer success. We move fast - you’ll have code in production by the end of your first week.

Key responsibilities

• Work directly with the CEO, CTO, and other product stakeholders to plan out features.
• Lead the development of our most complex features including writing code with minimal supervision.
• Advocate for improvements to our data models, software architecture, and test suites.
• Take ownership in your work ensuring a smooth release and communication to stakeholders.
• Continuously learn and adapt, staying current with emerging technologies and industry best practices.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience working as a full stack software developer
• Diversity in experience - you have worked with multiple languages/frameworks/databases
• Take pride in upholding best engineering practices - you build with maintainability, reliability, and observability in mind
• Ideally 4+ hours overlap in ET time zone
• Excellent written communication as we work remotely
• A strong command of relational databases

Nice-to-haves

• Significant experience with a front end JS framework (e.g. React, Vue)
• A good eye for UX and desire to make our app a pleasurable experience
• Experience working in a fast-paced startup environment
• Experience or strong interest in integrating AI into applications
• Experience in enterprise SAAS
• Experience with Ruby on Rails in large projects
