Zevo Benefits, Inc (zevobenefits.com) is on the lookout for a passionate and skilled Ruby on Rails Developer to become a part of our dedicated team. This is a remote first, contract to hire role. We prioritize individuals who have expertise in dense B2B Rails applications and can demonstrate a prowess for pragmatic UX design.

- Take ownership of developing and maintaining features in our large B2B Rails Applications using the principles of Shape Up.
- Collaborate with the technical operations team to enhance user experience and streamline data pipelines.
- Utilize Ruby on Rails, jQuery, and JavaScript to build robust solutions and features.
- Interface with PostgreSQL databases to retrieve, modify, and manage data effectively.
- Work in tandem with the customer success team, offering insights based on a solid understanding of system data models and processes.
- Engage proactively with other team members, playing an instrumental role in the seamless implementation of system and process improvements.
- Lend support and training to colleagues, acquainting them with the latest system and process updates.
Qualifications:
- Demonstrable Experience with UX and UI design (critique)
- Experience with Ruby on Rails, jQuery, and JavaScript is a must. (jQuery assessment)
- Familiarity with efficient PostgreSQL query design is highly beneficial. (Debug some code and consider performance)
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving capabilities.
- A Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline (e.g., Computer Science, Information Technology).
- Certifications in a programming-related domain, with a focus on MIS or Computer Science.
- Proficiency in one or more database languages, with a preference for SQL.
- A solid grounding in one or more Object Oriented Programming Languages.
