About You:
- You thrive in small teams (3-6 members) and excel in building production-ready software.
- Ruby and Rails are your comfort zone, and you prioritize pragmatic approaches and high-quality engineering.
- As a manager-of-one, you work independently, focusing on delivering functional solutions.
- You're willing to step in and support product and commercial teams when needed.
- Clear and effective communication, both written and verbal, is your default mode.
Your Responsibilities:
As a Senior Software Engineer at Maindeck, your role will include:
- Collaborating on the planning, design, and implementation of Maindeck features.
- Working closely with the team to consistently deliver top-notch software.
- Engaging in collaborative design and architectural discussions.
- Delivering well-tested, maintainable, and high-performing code.
- Conducting research, implementing prototypes, and spikes to validate assumptions and technical feasibility.
- Contributing your insights to the development and planning processes.
- Conducting thorough code reviews to ensure quality, consistency, and knowledge sharing among team members.

Essential Requirements:
- Proficiency in Rails with a proven track record of at least 2 substantial projects.
- Minimum of 3 years of full-stack Rails project experience.
- Self-assured Rails programming skills.
- Ability to work autonomously and remotely. You are well-organized and comfortable with loosely defined specifications.
- Fluent communication skills in English.
Desirable Qualifications:
- Knowledge of JavaScript.
